1. Who operates this website
This website is operated by Windscreen Replacement Liverpool, a mobile vehicle-glass service based in Liverpool. We haven't been able to confirm a separate registered company name or company number from our own records at the time of writing, so this policy refers to us by our trading name throughout.
2. Contact details
- Address: 2 Fazakerley Street, Liverpool, L3 9TZ
- Phone: 0151 453 9442
- Email: info@windscreenreplacementliverpool.co.uk
3. The data controller
Windscreen Replacement Liverpool is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy — meaning we decide why and how it's used. We haven't appointed a formal Data Protection Officer; if you have a question about your information, use the contact details above and it will reach the person responsible for handling it.
4. Information you provide to us
When you use the quote or contact form on this website, you can choose to give us:
- Your name
- Your telephone number and/or email address (at least one is required so we can respond to you)
- Your postcode
- Your vehicle registration, and/or make, model and year
- The service you're enquiring about
- A description of the damage or issue
- Optional photographs of the damage (see section 8)
Every field except a valid phone number or email address is optional — you decide how much detail to share.
5. Information collected automatically
When you submit a form, a small amount of technical information is captured alongside it:
- The page you submitted the form from
- The page that referred you to us, if any (your browser's referrer)
- Any marketing campaign parameters in the page URL (commonly known as UTM parameters), if present
- A one-off submission identifier generated in your browser, used only to prevent the same submission being sent twice
We don't run analytics software on this website (see section 12), so beyond the form-submission information above, we don't otherwise track your browsing activity across the site.
6. Quote and contact forms
Every quote or contact form on this site sends the information you enter to a secure processing endpoint hosted on Cloudflare's infrastructure, which checks it for validity and spam, then emails it to us using the email service Resend. We use this information to understand your enquiry and get back to you with a quote or answer.
7. Vehicle and damage information
Details like your vehicle registration, make, model, year, and a description of the damage are used solely to identify the correct glass and prepare an accurate quote — they aren't used for any other purpose.
8. Optional photograph uploads
You can optionally attach up to 4 photographs of the damage when you submit a form. Photos help us assess the job before quoting, which is often faster and more accurate than a written description alone.
Please avoid including people, personal documents, house numbers, or anything else private in the frame if you can — we only need a clear view of the damage and the vehicle.
Photos are sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, checked to confirm they're genuine image files, and attached to the email we send ourselves via Resend. We do not store your photos in a separate database or photo library — however, they do persist as an attachment within the email itself once it's delivered to our inbox, and Resend (the email-sending service) may retain its own copy of sent emails according to its account settings. If you'd like a photo deleted from our records, contact us using the details in section 29 and we'll remove it from wherever we can.
9. Telephone calls
We don't use any call-tracking or call-recording technology on this website. If you call the number shown on this site, your call is a normal telephone call to our office line, not routed through any third-party tracking number.
10. Email communication
If you give us an email address, we use it to reply to your enquiry, using the email address you provided as the reply-to address on our response. We don't add enquirers to a marketing mailing list, and we don't currently send marketing emails from this website.
11. Website security and spam prevention
This site uses Cloudflare Turnstile, a free tool from our hosting provider Cloudflare, to check that form submissions come from a genuine visitor rather than automated spam software. As part of that check, Cloudflare verifies the request server-side and may read your device's IP address for that purpose alone — we don't see or store your IP address ourselves. The form also includes a hidden field that only automated bots tend to fill in; if it's filled in, the submission is silently discarded rather than emailed to us.
12. Analytics
We do not currently run Google Analytics, Google Ads tracking, or any other analytics or advertising technology on this website. The site includes a small piece of code that records a single internal event after a form is submitted successfully, ready for a future analytics tool — but no such tool is connected today, so that code doesn't send any information anywhere or set any cookie. If this changes in future, we'll update this policy and our Cookie Policy accordingly, and add a proper consent option first where one is legally required.
13. Why we use your information
We use the information described above to:
- Respond to your quote or contact enquiry
- Identify the correct glass and prepare an accurate price
- Arrange and carry out any windscreen or vehicle-glass work you go on to book with us
- Keep a record of enquiries so we can follow up and answer any later questions
- Protect this website and our enquiry form from spam and abuse
- Understand which pages and marketing sources our enquiries come from, so we can run the website effectively
14. Our lawful bases
Under UK data-protection law, we rely on the following lawful bases, depending on what the information is used for:
- Steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract, and performance of that contract — for responding to your enquiry, preparing a quote, and carrying out any work you book with us.
- Legitimate interests — for preventing spam and fraudulent form submissions, keeping sensible business records of enquiries, and understanding how visitors find this website. We consider these interests to be proportionate and not to override your own privacy interests.
We do not currently rely on consent as a basis for any of the processing in this policy, because we don't currently use marketing cookies or send marketing communications. If that changes, we'll ask for your consent at that time and explain it clearly.
15. Who we share information with
We don't sell or rent your information. We share it only with the technology providers needed to run this website and respond to your enquiry (see section 17), and, where relevant, to arrange the service you've asked about.
16. Local service providers or referral partners
Windscreen Replacement Liverpool arranges and carries out the windscreen and vehicle-glass work described on this website ourselves, using our own mobile technicians — we don't pass your enquiry to an unrelated third-party fitting company. Submitting the quote form sends your enquiry directly to us; it does not itself create a contract for windscreen work. A contract for any actual service is only formed once we've confirmed the price, appointment and details with you directly (for example, by phone or email) — see ourTerms of Service for how that works.
17. Technology providers and processors
The following providers process information on our behalf, strictly to run this website and handle enquiries:
- Cloudflare — hosts this website, runs the code that processes form submissions, and provides the Turnstile spam-verification check described in section 11.
- Resend — an email-sending service we use to deliver quote enquiries (including any photographs) to our internal inbox, and to send our replies to you.
We don't use any analytics, advertising, or call-tracking provider (see section 12), so no such provider receives your information.
18. International transfers
Cloudflare and Resend are global infrastructure providers, and information may be processed on servers outside the UK as part of how their services operate. We haven't independently verified the specific countries or safeguards involved for our account with each provider, so we can't make a specific claim here beyond noting that international processing may occur as a normal part of using these services. Both providers publish their own data-processing and transfer-safeguard information, which we'd encourage you to review if this is important to you.
19. How long we keep information
We keep enquiry details — including any photos and messages — for as long as we need them to respond to you, arrange or carry out the service you've asked about, and deal with any reasonable follow-up, warranty question, or complaint afterwards. As a general guide: enquiries that lead to completed work are usually kept longer, in case a later question comes up about that job; enquiries that don't lead to any work aren't usually kept for long once we know they won't proceed. We don't currently have a single fixed retention period published for every category of information, and we're working on formalising one — if you'd like more detail or want something deleted sooner, contact us using the details in section 29.
20. Security
We use reasonable technical measures to protect information submitted through this website, including an encrypted (HTTPS) connection for every page and form, and automated verification to block spam and abusive submissions. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security of information you send us.
21. Your data-protection rights
Under UK data-protection law, you have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct information that's inaccurate or incomplete
- Ask us to delete information we no longer need to hold
- Ask us to restrict how we use your information in certain circumstances
- Object to us using your information in certain circumstances (see section 23)
- Ask for your information in a portable format, where that applies
To use any of these rights, contact us using the details in section 29.
22. Withdrawing consent
We don't currently rely on consent as the basis for the processing described in this policy (see section 14), so there's nothing to withdraw today. If that changes — for example, if we introduce marketing emails or non-essential cookies — we'll explain how to withdraw your consent at that time.
23. Objecting to processing
Where we rely on legitimate interests (section 14), you can object to that processing at any time. Tell us why using the contact details in section 29, and we'll consider your objection and stop that particular processing unless we have a compelling, legitimate reason to continue, or need to keep the information for a legal claim.
24. Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please contact us first using the details in section 29 so we can try to put it right.
25. Contacting the ICO
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's independent regulator for data protection, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
26. Children's information
This website isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we'll remove it.
27. Third-party websites
This website may in future link to third-party websites. This policy only covers our own website — if you follow a link to another site, that site's own privacy policy applies, not this one.
28. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we change how the website works or the services we use. The "last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. We'd encourage you to check back occasionally, particularly before submitting a form.
UK data-protection law and official regulatory guidance can change, and this policy will be reviewed and updated as needed — it isn't a one-off guarantee of compliance with every future requirement.
29. Contacting us
For anything in this policy, or to exercise any of your rights, contact Windscreen Replacement Liverpool at info@windscreenreplacementliverpool.co.uk or 0151 453 9442.
