Can Your Crack Be Repaired?
As a rough guide, cracks up to around 15cm that haven't reached the edge of the glass and aren't directly in the driver's line of sight can often be repaired. Longer cracks, edge cracks, or damage that's spread across multiple layers of the laminated glass usually require a full replacement for safety.
How Crack Repair Differs From Chip Repair
The same optical-grade resin and UV curing process is used, but a longer crack needs the resin drawn along its full length under sustained vacuum pressure to bond it properly and stop it extending further.
If a Repair Isn't Possible
If your crack is too long, too close to the edge, or sits in the driver's critical vision area, we'll explain exactly why on-site and give you a fixed quote for a full windscreen replacement instead — no pressure to decide on the spot.
